YES Employee Spotlight | February 2018

YES Professionals are the Best Staffing People in Utah!

For the month of February, please welcome to the Employee Spotlight stage, Karina Horst!

Thank You Karina Horst | YES February Employee Spotlight

Karina is a valued Bilingual On-Site Manager at one of our largest clients in the Salt Lake Valley. We are so impressed with her reliability, drive, attention to detail, and positive personality! She is a great team player who can always be relied on to get the job done and done well.

We asked Karina to answer 11 questions about work and life. Here’s what she had to say:

1. Five things you enjoy.
1. Visiting my family in Costa Rica
2. Buying makeup
3. Trying new recipes
4. Summer
5. A clean house

2. Three things you don’t.
1. Winter
2. Big dogs
3. Country music

3. What do you like most about working at YES?
I love that I get to meet a lot of people from different countries and that I can learn about their culture. I really enjoy that I get to see them every day, talk to them and help them through their career path.

4. What do you think would make YES better?
A nice recliner/hammock in the back of our office so we can go and take naps at lunch.

5. If you could meet anyone, who?
Nikkietutorials, she is a makeup queen.

6. Your favorite place in the world.
Costa Rica! I miss home everyday.

7. Speaking of.. you’re originally from Costa Rica. What’s the biggest difference between Costa Rica and the USA?
This is a hard one. I would say it would be between the weather, the food and the people. Costa Rica has the perfect weather, delicious food and the most fun and welcoming people.

8. What is the number one challenge you face in your job?
When you put a lot of effort setting someone up for a position and they just don’t show up to work. Also, people calling in when we really need them to be at work.

9. What do you think is the best way to meet that challenge?
Make the employees feel important so they are motivated to come to work.

10. What would you tell someone looking into working with YES?
Go for it. YES helps you to grow as a person and professionally as well.

11.You, YES President Reed Laws, and YES CFO Kerry Westenskow agree to have a contest to see who can eat the most tacos. Who wins? Why?
Definitely Reed. I don’t why, he just looks like he would eat a lot.

Thank you, Karina, for all that you do for YES, your on-site team, and our client. You are amazing! Keep up the good work.
