Why Staffing is a Rewarding Career
In the world of staffing, the majority of the time it’s people coming in looking for a quick fix or a job to tie them over until they find, in their own words, “a real job.”
Not that the jobs we have aren’t real, but that is what temporary agencies are typically known for. I’ve never really liked the term “temporary agency.” It comes off a little like a “quick fix” or “short term happiness.”
When we have clients that look to hire employees on, that is where the beauty lies. I’ve been able to work with a client for the past year where we’ve been able to see numerous employees get hired on permanently. They still come into the office every once in awhile to thank us for getting them work.
I’ve been blessed to see some of these employees not only get hired on but move up into management positions and create more of a career for themselves. Like I’ve said before, I’ve never liked the term, “temporary agency.”
Maybe one day we can change that name. I understand that we make money in placing employees and getting them jobs. But you know…the real money for me is in seeing lives change. It is a rewarding experience to witness our employees better themselves, work towards their goals and establish a better life for themselves and their families.
This is the beauty of what I do.
