The Staffing People at YES are the Best in the Utah Employment Industry!
This month’s Employee Spotlight goes to one of our account managers who has been working at our North Salt Lake office for almost a year and has been doing such an amazing job the whole way through! Here’s a shout out to Irvin Lopez!
Thank You Irvin Lopez | YES September Employee Spotlight
Along with the hard work and integrity that Irvin brings to the team, he also brings a lot of fun and a positive outlook to the office on a daily basis. I think I can speak for everybody when I say we are so thankful Irvin has chosen to be a member of our team and we’re looking forward to continually utilizing his skills and abilities to help make us better. Thanks for everything you do, Irvin! You rock!
We asked Irvin to answer 11 questions about work and life. Here’s what he had to say:
1. Five things you enjoy.
Fitness, food, family, the outdoors and traveling.
2. Three things you don’t.
Dealing with rude people, waking up in the mornings, and very hot weather.
3. What do you like most about working at YES?
What I like most is the fact that I work with a team of awesome people that are very supportive and motivate you to do better.
4. What do you think would make YES better?
If we had a movie theater with a popcorn machine and soda fountain so we can watch movies during lunch.
5. If you could meet anyone, who?
I grew up on Spanish music so I pick Selena. She revolutionized the Latin community in the US with her humble spirit and inspired many people to overcome boundaries. I learned that no matter the situation you always stay positive and smile.
6. Your favorite place in the world.
I don’t think I have a favorite place. I love San Francisco because there are so many different things going on. I really want to visit Dubai one day. That place looks crazy beautiful.
7. What’s the best place you know to eat at that no one else really knows about?
Ever since Maleny took me to this one Mexican place in downtown Salt Lake City I have been obsessed with it. Best tacos and tortas ever. That girl sure knows where to go for food.
8. What is the number one challenge you face in your job?
I think my number one challenge would be getting people to show up to a job.
9. What do you think is the best way to meet that challenge?
The best way would be for me to be confident that I did a great job explaining the position to the candidate. Also holding that person accountable for their actions.
10. What would you tell someone looking into working with YES?
Be prepared to start working if you are serious about getting a job. Your Employment Solutions will give you the opportunity and help you get into a position, but it is up to your performance and attitude if you want to succeed.
11. You’re the coach for Real Salt Lake. The LA Galaxy have just forced you into PKs for the conference championship. Who do you pick to play goalie? The president of YES Reed Laws, or the vice president Kerry Westenskow? Why?
Oh gosh, if those are my only two options than might as well just give up then and there. We LOST! Hahah! Just kidding. If I had to choose, then I’d bench Reed and pick Kerry because that guy is super tall. Who knows we might get lucky! (nothing against you Reed).
Thanks Irvin for all that you do to make YES the best staffing company in Utah!
