Most Recent Employment Numbers in Utah | September 2018

The Utah Department of Work Force Services releases data on current jobs and unemployment for the state on a monthly basis. Below is the latest video detailing the most recent employment data for the month of September.

The state of Utah crept up to a 3.2% unemployment rate ranking below the national average which dropped to 3.7%.

Utah also had 3.6% job growth (compared to August of 2017) rate against the 1.7% national growth rate.

“The latest job market statistics indicate that our state continues to ride the momentum of healthy expansion,” says Carrie Mayne, Chief Economist at the Department of Workforce Services. “Job seekers continue to find employment opportunities, despite a slight softening in the labor force measures.”
