It takes an army just to coordinate the efforts of placing and paying all these employees, throw into the mix the task of managing safety, and you’ve really got your hands full. We take a large risk sending those thousands of employees to work in environments we don’t have direct control over, but thanks to partnerships with safety managers, like Neil Martin and his team at Young Living, we ensure all our employees are placed in safe companies.
This week I had the opportunity to thank Neil, and some of his safety team, for their outstanding efforts keeping YES employees safe. Under the safety direction of Neil, Young Living surpassed a remarkable milestone in safety: 20,000 cumulative hours worked by YES employees without a single workers compensation claim!
“It takes all of us continually working together to create a safe work place,” Neil told me, and I couldn’t agree more.
We presented the Young Living safety team with an award in recognition of their superb safety efforts. Neil accepted the award along with safety administrative assistant Jennifer Camacho, senior people business partner Kari Crane, and YES’ on-site manager Laura Lafeen.
“From the safety presentation during orientation to daily stretching on the floor, the people I work with at Young Living always keep workplace safety top of mind,” says Laura Lafeen. “Being on-site it’s wonderful to see first hand the training and care taken to keep all employees safe!”
